Post 8: A subject that I enjoyed studying

Imagen
A subject that I enjoyed studying was music when I was in school, however, I am not a very good musician, but the music classes made me enjoy playing and in them I learned to use the instruments that at some point I had. like many of us I started playing the flute, then when I was in middle school a friend of my brother told me that they were selling a super cheap drum set and my dad bought it for me, since I couldn't take the drums to school, I was lucky that there was a drum set at my school, and that my music teacher taught me the basics with which I was later able to play several songs that were the tests of that subject and as he was the only drummer he had to play with almost all the groups. Now I have been learning guitar in a self-taught way for 4 years, and I think that if my music teachers had not taught me to read music, understand rhythms and train my ear, I could not learn by myself, I feel that they gave me the basis to learn any instrument for that I am very gr...

Post 7: An expert in my field that I admire

Imagen
Hello to everyone! today’s post it’s about an expert in my field who I admire, this is Mr. Antonio Vita. I admire him because his long career in forestry and his vast knowledge and contributions to this field, he is also a very good teacher, who is a pleasure to listen to and learn from his experiences. He has researched silvicultural treatments for Mediterranean forest and scrub ecosystems in Chile, he also has published on integrated watershed planning and management in arid and semi-arid zones of Latin America and introduction of some Eucalyptus species in the arid Mediterranean zone of Chile, and many other projects and publications. He graduated as a forestry engineer in 1966 and from 1967 to date he has been a professor of this career, while continuing to study and improve in the area, that’s why in 1971 he received a diploma of specialization in Silviculture awarded by the Government of France.

Post 6: How can your mayor make the world a better place?

Imagen
Hello everyone, I commented in anterior posts that am I in 5 th year of Forest Engineering, in these years I learned so much, and after all these years I met many classmates, almost all of them wanting to conserve, the career teaches us many tools which can be useful for the conservation of ecosystems. This career with the approach that we are giving is going to be fundamental for the future of the planet, but we can’t alone, because we need to raise awareness for the global warning and the deforestation. But I’m a little pessimist, because the major contaminants are the biggest companies that have the recurses and influence to pass over the law. Anyway, I am convinced that this can change if it takes more seriousness and revises environmental laws and reforms them in order to guarantee a sustainable ecology and a thorough inspection of compliance with these laws is carried out.

Post 4: A meal or food I really like

Imagen
OMG what a wonderful topic to write, I LOVE food, and I love to cook too. My favorite food is chard and spinach stew with stir-fried potatoes (I’m not very sure about the translate of “papas doradas” hahaha), it is my favorite since I was a kid, to made it you have to stir-fry chopped onion, garlic and cayenne with some spices such as pepper, salt and oregano, at the same time you have to boil the spinach and the chard about 3 or 4 minutes, and in another cooking pot you have to boil the potatoes, when the spinach and chard are ready you have to add the onion, garlic and cayenne, let it cook 5 minutes and add some milk cream and let it cook another 5 minutes, now only you have to stir-fry the potatoes, and now it’s ready to serve and eat! ÑAM! I really like this food because it’s too easy to do and tasty, and it’s very healthy because it had many vegetables, you can add zucchini to make it more abundant or you can add cheese and let it melt in an oven. I hope you try to do ...

Post 3, Favorite piece of Technology

Imagen
Hello everyone, today I’m gonna tell you what is my favorite piece of technology, it is my nephew’s PS4 because I play videogames since I was a child, it has many games to choose, many adventures or sports to play, I have very great times playing with my nephew killing zombies or wining wars, I have to say that the ps4 is a great pastime now in the quarantine because I have much more time than the last years, I use it 3-4 times a week for 2-3 hours, I recommend its use because it’s a very entertaining piece, you can have many hours of joy, but you have to be careful in the hours you play, because time passes very quickly when you are immersed in the game. Well, that is my favorite piece of technology, I hope you like my post!

Hi everyone, when I was a child, I don’t mind so much about the future I guess, because I don’t remember any dream job or anything about it hahaha, in the middle school I always like language and history, I choose humanist as my study plan at the school, but at the moment of view my career options, I was looking for sociology, philosophy and forestry engineering, the latter have nothing to do with my study plan, but the description of the career kept spinning in my mind, well, I finally choose forestry engineering because I was selected to study for free, but only in statal universities and with my PSU score I was only available to study this career at Universidad de Chile, I don’t regret this decision because I met great friends, I have challenged myself and I have great experiences in this 5 years. Finally, I have to say that I would like to find a job where I can  help to restore the ecosystems and to stop the desertification.
